Bloomsburg Field Hockey Downs Houghton

BLOOMSBURG — Venessa Witman( Oley /Oley Valley),Kristi Ney( Dauphin /Central Dauphin East),Samantha Kropa (Tunkhannock /Lackawanna Trail) and Morgan Wolf(Oley /Oley Valley) all scored to lead the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 4-0 win over Houghton on Friday.

The Huskies opened the scoring 21 minutes into the game when freshman Venessa Witman put one in the back of the net. That would be the only goal of the half.

In the second half, Ney notched the next Bloomsburg goal 39 minutes into the game with Kropa scoring at 50:53. The final Bloomsburg goal came from Morgan Wolf off an assist from Maribeth Bronzera (Larksville /Wyoming Valley West).

In goal, the Huskies' Tracey Hudak (Sweet Valley/Lake-Lehman) stopped five shots and Allison Ziants (Winfield/Selinsgrove) stopped four shots.

Bloomsburg , 8 -1, will Host IUP on Sunday at 1p.m.
